exactly.
it's not like curry is super athletic or anything.
one thing that favors our race over the other is our build - we tend to have longer arms and wider wingspan. that helps in basketballthere are too many trex armed cacs. that's not gonna fly especially when they already have disadvantage in athleticism
True. But these anatomical differences are in the margins. They don't make someone an NBA player per se. They only make you better than the next guy who might not have those gifts. Remember our argument here isn't about who is the best in the NBA. Its about why there aren't many white Americans in the NBA at all.
The biggest physical attribute that makes someone an NBA player is HEIGHT. Last I checked, the average white American male is not much shorter than the average black American male. Think of all the tall black dudes in the NBA. There are many more tall white dudes out there. Why don't more of these tall cacs have the skill level to become the next Steph Curry or Kyrie Irving? Ryan Anderson isn't special. He just worked harder than the other cacs his size and become a dead eye shooter and got millions in the NBA. There could be a lot more Ryan Anderson's. Or Steve Nash's. Or Dirk Norwitki's.
Race is not a factor to making it in the NBA. Height (of all the physical attributes) is the most important factor. Followed by wingspan (as you noted).
