It would happen quicker than the long game (pause). Take whatever pay cut that is needed to get a dope group together. The project would do numbers leading to bigger budgets/payments for sequels or other projects. Even better if they pool up and do it themselves independently, which should be happening anyway.

It could work. George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Bernie Mac, Andy Garcia, Carl Reiner, Julia Roberts, and a bunch of other A-listers made Ocean's Eleven; which was not only a great movie, but it spawned 2 sequels and a reboot.

One easy way to get Denzel, Martin, Eddie, Will, Foxx, Forrest Whitaker, and some young brehs together would be to remake A Soldier's Story. As a nice twist, Denzel could play Sarge this time.

Oceans eleven was already a reboot of an old movie.

An ensemble cast is completely different from asking why those four haven’t specifically been in a film together.

They’re too old for all of them to be in a soldier’s story and Martin can’t do serious dramas.
