People go overboard with it, but bacon in general is delicious.
Show me some peer reviewed scientific studies that show that the pork meat you buy in grocery stores today is unhealthier for you than other meat.
Pork tenderloin has a macronutrient profile on par with chicken breast.
Pork being inherently bad for you is one of the many things people wholeheartedly believe due to hearsay and tradition, without ever second guessing it.

Anybody interested in learning more about pigs and pork, peep this podcast
The history of the domestic pig is a tale of both love and loathing. We cherish pigs for the delicious meat they supply. But, as an animals that eats and roots in filth, swine are often met with contempt. In a new book of porcine history, the writer Mark Essig follows the humble pig’s journey from Neolithic villages to modern industrial farms. Essig joins us Tuesday to explore the pig’s vast importance, the tragedy of its modern treatment, and its complicated relationship with humanity.
If you get the Jennie - o or that Oscar Meyer turkey bacon from walmart or whatever store that is generally crap, the way to make it crush the building is to
Cook it with olive oil, butter, brown sugar, a lil salt and pepper, and maybe even a dash of cayenne pepper.
You get a salty, sweet, bacony flavor. Much better than turkey flavor or whatever.
Theres a reason you can buy maple bacon and brown sugar flavored bacon that is pig bacon in every grocery store. You just have to do it manually with turkey bacon and it's 100% worth it.
May take away some nutritional value but if you don't care about that and just don't want to ingest pig, 100% worth it.
