Why is beefing so common among our (black) celebrities?

and street nikkas have always been given record deals. yes street people do street shyt. not saying it’s right but of course beef turns violent, when beef became violent before they had a record deal.

The real question is why does black celebrity beef get so much attention, go viral, and become the dominating topic among black people instead of shyt that's actually important

I always think about how when Verzus started it was just 2 legendary black musicians playing music, telling stories and showing each other mutual respect. Who? Us not seeing it is actually the point. Black conflict breaks through in the mainstream (you think it was just black folk making that Katt interview go diamond?). So it would only make sense that white conflict would do the reverse. This aint to say white folk dont have beef. But we dont see it pushed in the same way and I think there is (generally speaking of course) a different mindset.

Black folk are made to believe we gotta compete with each other to get ahead. That breeds hypersensitivity and quick triggers and jealousy that dont just go away once they make it. White folks know there is plenty of room for them so they dont view their peers as threats in the same way.

Hailey Bieber and Selena Gomez is huge beef and plenty of young white girls are aware of it

we're just more aware of what is going on with black celebrities. also I will say due to the nature of rappers or comedians beefing, it is definitely going to be more inflammatory beef since rappers and comedians seem to say more wild shyt about eachother than your average actor/pop singer/model type celebrity. doesn't mean the beef doesn't exist and there aren't millions of people aware of it in other communities/genres of music/stan circles.

Sad thing is, having a mostly Black audience means that you almost always have to engage in some sort of nonsense or borderline c00nery to keep the spotlight on you and the keep The Shade Room, Hollywood Unlocked, and The Coli () talking about you to keep your name somewhat revelant.


Same exact principle applies to a lesser degree with these streamers and Youtubers whose audiences consist of entirely 10-17 year olds with goldfish attention spans.
