There's a gigantic Armenian Catholic Church on Markham road in Scarborough, so I'd have to assume there's a decent population of them to necessitate the building of a church like that.

he Armenian community in Toronto, with a 2006 population figure of 16,310,[3] is centred in the neighbourhoods ofDon Valley Village and Pleasant View in north-central Toronto. The hub of the community is the Armenian Community Centre of Toronto complex at Victoria Park and 401.

From its beginnings in the early 1960s, the Armenian Community Centre of Toronto has been the hub of the Toronto-Armenian community since 1979. The grounds of the Armenian Community Centre are also home to the A.R.S. Armenian School (which offers nursery, kindergarten, elementary and secondary level education), St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church and the Armenian Youth Centre, which house several community organizations such as the Armenian Relief Society, Homenetmen Armenian General Athletic and Scouting Union, Hamazkayin Armenian Cultural and Educational Society, the Armenian National Committee of Canada, the Armenian Youth Federation, Armen Karo Student Association, the A.R.F. Junior Organization of Canada and the Armenian Senior Citizens Club.

Armenian Apostolic churches include Holy Trinity Armenian Church (Diocese of the See of Holy Echmiadzin) and St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church (in Willowdale, pertaining to the diocese of the Holy See of Cilicia)

St. Mary Armenian Apostolic Church airs a weekly Armenian radio show every Sunday from 8pm to 11pm on 1690am, named The Voice of Giligia.[7]

Armenian Catholics have their own church St. Gregory the Illuminator in Toronto. Toronto Hye, an Armenian-related periodical is published monthly by the community.

and that was nearly 10 years ago prob like 25k-30 k now

That's not true, bars close at 3, some go by 'play it by ear', but they're supposed to close at 3. NYC have the same thing but 'play it by ear' can go well into 7am.

San Diego is not world class cities, and NYC is over Boston and LA is over SD, everyone knows this. Just like Canada (we are talking about the country) only has 1, and that's Toronto: see chart below. America has 7 my nikka. . World Class as in intentionally recognized as a powerhouse city, sorry but other than Toronto yall live in the sticks, Van and Montreal are on par with San Diego and Philly, but not on par with NY and LA which are WORLD CLASS. There is a difference between major city and world class city.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_city.

ps. Seoul and Rio don't have an abundance of subculture???? :what: You have no idea what you're talking about.
Lol how can you tell me it's not true?
Go look up club circus in Montreal
It's an after hours club, not some unofficial house party shyt

Another reason to love Canada, they just made NXNE fall back and take the resident GFK biter/ hipster love of the moment Action Bronson off the bill.

First they popped s h i t:

"On Tuesday, May 26 a group of concerned Torontonians created a petition to remove Action Bronson from NXNE's lineup on Sunday, June 21 at Yonge-Dundas Square. The petition has spawned a passionate online discussion. The Festival would like to address this topic.
Action Bronson performed at Yonge-Dundas Square as part of NXNE in 2012 with Killer Mike, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah. It was a positive concert that was described by reviewers as "laid back", "a lot of fun" and a "world class hip-hop showcase". NXNE is confident the lineup on June 21 at Yonge-Dundas Square will make for another enjoyable day of music in a public space.

"NXNE will also present a number of rap artists at various venues, such as Tink and Kate Tempest, who have be lauded for the undisguised feminist viewpoints in their music." says Sara Peel, Managing Director of NXNE. " "That being said, in the interest of moving forward in a positive manner, we are engaging in discussion with our community about this important issue, and looking to provide opportunities for concerned voices to be heard."

NXNE believes each and every one of these artists have the right to express their views through music, but those views belong to them and them alone. Those who are offended by an artist are invited to check out other Festival showcases, as NXNE will present hundreds of artists this June - some may be considered controversial, but most are just plain fun."

Then they apologized and asked Kiss:

"We at Northby Northeast (NXNE) are very proud of our 20 plus years relationship with the people of the City of Toronto. And for almost ten years we've shared Yonge-Dundas Square with you to present free, all ages shows open to the public. YDS is the city's space and as such we are obliged to listen to how the city and community want it used. A significant number of Torontonians have indicated their desire to have Action Bronson not perform at the Square. As annual guests in this space we feel we must accede to the strong wishes of the community and honour their input.

As a result, we will not be presenting Action Bronson at Yonge-Dundas Square but, hopefully we will still be presenting Action Bronson as part of Northby. We remain fundamentally committed to presenting this artist on a Toronto stage. We are not moving the Action show because we believe in censoring him or any other artists. In fact, we find the limiting of artistic expression distasteful. When artistic expression is limited, freedom and the evolution of ideas is often the casualty.

Hopefully, Action Bronson will accept our invitation to play at another, ticketed venue in the city so the public can decide for themselves if his work has merit. We booked Bronson, in part, because of his latest excellent disc, Mr. Wonderful.

We hope that this series of events does not foster some type of artistic chill in Toronto and its public spaces. Yonge-Dundas Square must remain a dynamic place where many viewpoints are expressed not just culturally but also at political events and rallies staged there.

We are heartened by the community engagement that has been taking place around this YDS show. This debate continues an important conversation about violence against women and its depiction in art and culture that is long overdue. We salute all of those who fight this battle and we would encourage everyone who has signed the petition or been engaged by this conversation to commit themselves personally to continuing the fight against violence against women. We at Northby pledge to continue being part of this discussion with the intent to help act as agents of change.

Sincerely,

The Directors of North by Northeast"

Idk, but i find it funny that this thread is made after i made a "Aren't You Canadian?" comment to @1stPick in his Ann Coulter thread

if i lived in Canada, i would not care or make countless posts and threads on things that only impact people in the US, unless i had family there
This is the ignorance people are talking about.

As a black Canadian, you're one of 8% of the population or something along those lines. Literally all the stereotypes blacks deal with in the US are placed onto canadian blacks.

People on this site wish to talk black unity, and then when a BLACK canadian talks about BLACK issues, regardless of where, they are shunned.

That's ass backwards.

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
Canadians should be proud to be honest. They don’t got half the backwardness we have in America. Also it seems that a lot of people in Canada and Europe have more common sense on average than Americans
