A combination of Asians as a whole being the next closest thing to white in white people's scope of supremacy, and Asian men having an issue with stereotypes of lacking what are seen as base markers of masculinity.

Asians are also the wealthiest group in the country so that doesn't even lend to the theory that it's an economic class issue instead of a racial/cultural one.
