Why is being labeled "militant" a bad thing?

being a militant to me is more about what you do rather than what you say. so being that we're all on a message board and essentially all just talking shyt and stating opinions without providing proof that we're backing those opinions up through our actions, it's difficult to take that militancy seriously on here, as unfair as that may be. I don't know anyone on here to judge so I tend to avoid calling people out on that, but I understand why people do. It's similar to someone being an internet gangsta. they may be about that life in real life but without actual proof, it just looks like a bunch of empty words

It can be bad when it leads to you not being able to rationally discuss a topic or unable to take a pragmatic and non-dogmatic approach to an issue when it might be warranted. No doubt passion and militacy has a place depending on the circumstance but it doesn't need to be your default mode for every single issue.

Seems like on the coli people throw around the label "militant" as a slur.

Why is that?

Wouldn't a lot of leaders and heroes throughout history be labeled "militant" on some level?

Anyway I'm just asking.

:coffee:

Edit - no daps or reps please. I don't want @MAKAVELI25 to think I'm pandering.
It's not the word militant that's being thrown around. It's "coli-militant" that is used. There is a world of difference between the two.

How you behind a keyboard without a gun and be considered militant over some pointless online words:francis:

nikkas turned the whole idea of being militant upside down. That cac in the Army stolen valor video said it best, "Real nikkas died for this militant revolutionary shyte"
