when I think of a dope rapper, I think of a guy who can convey numerous ideas into a small window. some call it efficiency, some call it anti filler. biggie was able to condense his dopeness
In terms of strictly rhyming/multis he wasn't elite but he was still pretty good. But he also had lots of similes/metaphors that really added to him being lyrically skilled. Although I wouldn't consider him the best lyricist of all time or anything, and do think his lyricism tends to get overrated.
Biggie was as perfect of a rapper as we have had in hip hop's short history. The only reason why I dont consider him the goat, is owed to the fact that he was taken too soon from us which robbed him of a full career.
