I think it's done too often but honestly if I ran a fed, I'd be fine with blood but require it to be hardway . Orton and Brock had been bloodied, and caused blood in infinite matches, but we remember when Orton got bloody hardway from Brock, not the others.

Blood happens naturally enough that the occasional hardway or planned is by far the most effective.
