No, left in 96, but would visit often. Now I never go back anymore, and I'm only about 3 hours away in Albany. Still have family and friends, mostly live in southern nh (Salem, Nashua, Hudson, etc) I grew up in Pelham and Lowell, primarily.
Harrison's wins, for sure, but late night was big & beefy and the owl diner in Lowell.
I used to go to krumbsnatcha's mixtape spot in Lowell every week for the new mix tapes, I have respect for those guys for sure, but there is no real Boston hip hop scene to speak of, well not any that are even close to being ready for a national stage

Boston has ALWAYS been majority white....since FOREVER.

You'd never say that Indianapolis was a major black city.... cause it's not, and it has more blacks than Boston.
