Well if you did, you'd clearly see that he moved to 175 to fight Kovalev when Benavidez became mandatory to fight him at 168. Then he went back to 168 (literally immediately) when Benavidez got belt taken for not making weight and lost any rankings for mandatory at 168 etc.

he's not scared, but he clearly just doesnt value the fight. with him losing to bivol, he now has even more reason to not fight benavidez any time soon because he will be negotiating the bivol rematch and taking much easier fights in the meantime. if benavidez was a light footed-technical boxer, then i would say canelo is actually ducking. i dont think canelo is bothered by pressure fighters much, especially not at his most comfortable weight.

It's not even him just not valuing the fight.. Canelo already committed to 2 fights for 2023.. Benavidez vs Plant was supposed to be a unification fight that was 3-4 years ago when they were both undefeated title holders.. You forgot the part when he went back up to 175 . Going up to 175 had nothing to do with Benavidez. Canelo wanted to become undisputed at 175, but he loss the Bivol fight

No I'm not. And yes it did. Alvarez saw an easier fight with Kovalev (rape case pending, A-Team forced a 7 week camp coming off 12 hard rnds with Yarde). It is what it is. It's okay that he has avoided Benavidez. It's not a new thing to duck opponents, all the champs do it.

Benavidez was not his Mandatory at 168 when he moved up to fight Kovalev... Canelo wasn't even at 168 when he moved up to fight Kovalev.. he was at 160 fresh off the Jacobs unification

Canelo was already coming back to 168 regardless if Benavidez had his belt or ot.. yall have to stop spreading these ridiclous fantasies.. He didn't need to wait for Benavidez to do anything.. He coulda simply fought Callum for the WBA
