being classically trained is not a talent.
anybody could go to or get in a performing arts school.

it doesn't mean you are actually talented, though.
drake has a trickle down effect draw wise.
just like everyother pbs/child star, as they age.
it does not mean they were particularly talented.
they just had parents who put forth the effort, to see them accomplish something.

he is no prodigy, or anything like that.
he is just in a city that is known for a grassroots pbs show.
plus, a depot for cheap acting talent.
where, he was the only safe male negro available.

if he was such a great actor......
duke would have at least had a mos def type of acting career.
from degrassi, to this point...

drake = the guy who saw hustle and flow, and said I can use my communication background from art school.
to be a voice over actor, and I can get on, just like terrance howard.
that wack clown is joey Lawrence, breh.

I completely disagree. I think he makes good songs and I respect his ability to continually create unique content.

We don't have to agree on that point.

That nikka was on MTV and 106 multiple times. He had like 5 or 6 videos and cole only had 2. The nikka was all on Nikki minaj video kissing her and shyt, they had the nikka perform at the espy's and on the nfl draft I believe.

Cole had none of that, still outsold his album the first week

Edit: cole second video came out after he had already outsold nas the first week, so it's really only 1 video
Don't forget that Nas had feature on just about every major black release leading up to LIG.

He was on

Nikki album
Chris brown
Tyga
Melanie Fiona
Ross
Wayne

I'm sure Im forgetting some

all me was the best song he did in years and it wasn't even on the album :dead:
It was on the album.
Do you realize we are in 2013?

No one confines their listening experience to a plastic disc that comes out of a wrapper

What? Who is Austin Green? Did you read this before you clicked "Post Reply"?
I still prefer J.Cole over him.

drake = brian Austin green getting ghostwriting from slim kid tre

just like brian austin green, got writing from slim kid.
drake gets writing via the cashmoney writing pools.
only reason drake has not failed is because of the perception of the gangsta rap label, cashmoney.
to aid him, in having a certain look.
plus, cashmoney has no actual cultural integrity.
so, it is no risk to their draw like it was for the pharcyde.
when, slim kid tre sold out the group, into the point of being a sellout with a defunct draw.

drake is the black brian Austin green/joey Lawrence of this gen.

your gen, is nuffin but cop and blow to these record labels.
you just don't know any better.

all his content is what if,..slug made rnb commercial rap records that were accessible.
his content is not unique.
it is a commercial ripoff of emo records and brian Austin green collabs from 1996.
