Problem is, it's so competitive. A full time cashier starts at 50g/ year

Everybody has to make a sacrifice. To get this awesome gig I have now, I have to get up at 5 in the morning, out the door by 5:30 because I don't start till 7:30. I'm here usually 40 minutes early but I simply don't trust Chicago morning traffic. What do you want out of life? From the description of the OP, she doesn't see the big picture. Like, I have my MBA but I never stopped learning, I've taught myself various programs like Excel and Access. Not on some simple spreadsheet stuff but I can make some powerful piff with them. I don't feel sorry for those that aren't willing to commit to excellence and leave the garbage behind, I feel sorry for the kids of those people because they are being taught that failure is indeed an option. Breh, i agree with a lot of what you say but there are those of us that are black and on here that have carved out a great niche in this thing called life for us. Of course we work harder for it but at the end of the day, it's possible. I don't know how much is due to geography but face facts, everyone is struggling out here. Some people go to school for stuff that isn't profitable. I look around at my family for those not making it, friends or family and I can't trust them with my name to do good in a job that I'd recommend. Everyone that wanted to do something, is doing something. Might not be the greatest thing, but they are happy with clothes on their backs and a roof over their head. Do we have to grind harder? Hell yeah, but OP sounds like she doesn't even want to grind period, that is where a lot of us have issue with her stance.
