I can't believe people are actually defending this situation. Nobody trades multiple first and second round picks for a guy who might be able to start in 2 or 3 years. So far this is a huge failure on the Rams and Goff's part

That was always a reach. You don't wanna give the impression that you're trading up for a reach but QB's make GM's do desperate things. But they thought he was NFL - starter ready
But now you have teams reach like crazy just because they need a QB. Look at the Jets. They're gonna draft a QB every year until Tom Brady 2.0 falls from the sky. If you look like you got a little bit of talent, you're gonna get picked. In palmers day you could bench a guy for a year. Tenn benched McNair for multiple years, those days are over
There were a lot of questions about goff coming out
Never beat a legit team in the pac 12
Played in a air raid offense in college, look at petty, he struggled mightily picking up a NFL offense last year
Lots of questions for a guy drafted number 1 overall when there should be no questions and no doubt
Waaay to early for this. I mean it sounds like some of you just started following the NFL 5 years ago. The QB position had always had a steep learning curve and most rookies stuggle badly. This is a non-issue

Now of course Goff shouldn't have went #1 on the draft but this whole situation is really starting to look like Fisher is the problem. He's not QB friendly at all. They draft Goff but they don't try to build a system that can at least make him comfortable like Philly did with Wentz. Goff has a cannon of an arm.. he can at least be a gunslinger if not more but Fisher could basically ruin this kid. And he's saying Keenum is still the starter for the first regular season home game in 21 yearsHow much you think Goff learned Monday night when he was in street clothes on the sidelines watching Case Keenum lead his team to 0 points![]()
This is nothing to be excited about for 90,000+ fans in the Coliseum. Fisher can't hide like he did in Nashville and St. Louis. Its not looking good for dude right now. Truthfully its about time.@JLova
I told you, all you had to do is be patient. The narrative is already forming.
If Jared Goff cant even beat out Case Keenum, he was clearly not the right guy to take with the first overall pick: 9/13/16

Johnson: Well, I think [Jared Goff’s benching] is about everybody. I think it’s the people that have to get Jared Goff prepared. I think it’s about the individuals that made the decision to draft him, whether it was Kevin Demoff or whether it was Les Snead with a little bit of help from Jeff Fisher.
From my outside people and the inside people that I know with the Rams, that wasn’t the choice that Jeff Fisher really wanted. I think he was basically forced to draft Jared Goff.
Smith: Who did he want?
Johnson: I think he wanted more players. I think he wanted more players because he felt that he could be more competitive with more players, but they felt they needed to make a splash moving into Los Angeles and drafting a quarterback.
Look. I don’t care what anybody say, and I say this all the time. I’ve seen Jared Goff for three years. Three years out here in the Pac-12. I like him. He’s a nice kid, but he wouldn’t have been my #1 overall pick. He just wouldn’t have been. He doesn’t give me...
This isn’t Andrew Luck or Cam Newton we’re talking about. You don’t move up to take this type of guy.
