What needs to be seen as an achievement is building wealth and being a man by committing to the woman you're with and protecting and raising your family...all this other shyt is distractions.

People are gonna think whatever they want about every single thing in life. It's all about how common things are. If you live in a city such as NYC no one is gonna look at you funny for not having a car because it's COMMON not to have one plus it's not as much of a need. Now if you live in the suburbs where you basically really need a car to get around and everyone has one then people are gonna look down on you for not having it because obviously it represents you are poor because no one in the suburbs would choose to not have a car.

It's not an accomplishment, but basically a necessity to me. I remember those days when I had to walk/bike miles just to get to the bus stop or shopping centers, never going back to that. Way too much time wasted waiting on a bus or a friend/relative to pick me up.

I drive a 15-Year old Buick though. Insurance minimal, no car note. When I notice something going wrong under the hood I send it to the mechanic ASAP.
