It's not becoming worse, man. By most standards this generation is smarter and better off than the previous one. Teen pregnancy, for example, is much less common today than it was 30 years ago. The absolute number of out-of-wedlock births is at an all time low. The better question is, why do so many people assume that things were better in the past?
