As I assume it's been said in this thread many times.....Michael Vick was one of the faces of the NFL while Aaron Hernandez well isn't.

Exactly, at one point Vick mightve been the best known PLAYER in the league. Hernandez isnt even the best known TIGHT END on his TEAM
