No-one real in Hip Hop takes that shyt to extreme levels though where they are automatically like fukk everywhere else lol.
this topic may be a little too controversial and thought provoking for your stupid assshut up

after the whole east/west coast beef which contributed to the death of two legends and possibly a whole lot more other people we have never heard about, you really cant see the problem?Competitive nature.
Everybody wants their city, state, region, coast, to be the best .... I don't really see the issue.

Some people take shyt too far.... shyt was damn near 20 years ago.... It's competition and it shouldn't be frowned on.after the whole east/west coast beef which contributed to the death of two legends and possibly a whole lot more other people we have never heard about, you really cant see the problem?![]()
well i see competition as artist to artist.... if there is another artist better than me, it is friendly competition. The whole regional thing is beyond me, because I have no control over who is nice in NY, just myself. I'm not frowning upon competition at all. You can improve yourself as an artist through competition. Some people take shyt too far.... shyt was damn near 20 years ago.... It's competition and it shouldn't be frowned on.
it's embedded in the culture to rep you hood/city/state or w/e and instead of unifying hip hop, it has seemed to

i think i said I'm from NY in my original post. But i personally don't define myself depending on where I'm from though, so I guess that may not pertain to me as heavily as some other people. No offense but where exactly are you from? You soundin like a nikka from the boonies
I think repping your city/block/hood and environment is not only important in hip hop. But is important in defing yourself as a black man
Hip hop in its esscene is about repping who you are as a individaul and where your from. Why would you want to remove that? I feel some of your arguments tho. Your location shouldnt define you. BendXL dropped a article pertaining to this issue in the black community a min ago. Real good read.

Sounds like a good read, i'll peep it

tribe/turf mentality.
We been taught to put ourselves into easily manageable boxes, is all.
right outside of the BX in the suburbs. Not well-known area, but it's literally right outside the city.I mean WHERE in NY. Most NY dudes I know usually state their borough or county. Ya digg?
But yea its a good read. Its end points ring true to me personally. Its not really about what ya city means to you as a man, but what you as a man mean to your city.
