Why is hockey the only sport with a universally accepted GOAT?

But ask who the greatest hockey player is and you’ll get “Gretzky “

The gap statistically between Gretzky and his peers is comedic. It’d be like if second place on the all time home run list had maybe 500-550 or second on the all time scoring list had barely over 30,000 points. Most goals all time and most assists all time. Imagine if Kareem was also the league’s all time leader in assists too.

The #2 guy, Jaromir Jagr has 1,921.

Put it this way: Gretzky has a career total of - 1,963 assists. Jagr is the 2nd all time leader in POINTS (goals + assists) and has 1,921 in total.

So without even scoring a goal, Gretzky is the all time leading scorer in points but what's even more fukked up is his 894 goals (1st all time), bringing his total to 2,587. The man has the most unbreakable / untouchable records in all of modern sports and that's why he's the Great One.

Angels had the best record in baseball a few years ago but they got swept in the ALDS. So only one playoff appearance but no wins.
