What facts? I didn't say there were only no standards NOW. There have never been standards since I can remember. So your dumbass is gonna put words in my mouth? I'm talking about modern era USA... not just 2012. lol @ people who think the world was perfect until this year. he world has always sucked.

So there were standards when women didnt have a choice on what age they could have a baby?:stopitslime:

Those stats don't show how many teenage mothers kept their babies. a pregnant teen is one thing, but a teenage parent is a whole other problem, imo.

I will say that you don't hear/read very many stories where teens are ostracized for getting pregnant. I've read countless stories where teen mothers were sent away from families when their parents found out they were pregnant. Now people are bit more welcoming to the idea I guess.

Even, if its decreasing it is more acceptable, plus girls and parents feel its more acceptable to have an abortion now. A women can choose to be a teen mom like MTV or control their future and abort the baby. Either way, blame can be shifted to the man. The US is a lot more liberal than it was 20-30 years ago. Plus birth control is easier to get than before. In some communities, having a baby out of wedlock is still the norm though.

Now out of wedlock births are on the rise among all groups of women is increasing. That is a major problem.

I think that you're just noticing more now for a couple reasons:

1) You're getting older so you're going to be more judgmental toward past generations for not exercising what seems to be really obvious and conventional wisdom for you.

2) Teen pregnancies/motherhood are being glamorized right now on TLC or MTV or whatever stupid ass network that keeps airing this shyt.

Yeah, it's bad and these kids are going to have a hard time getting their lives off of the ground, but if they at least manage to keep their kids in school and on track to at least make something of their lives, I don't really mind... I know it's not nearly as likely, but if they manage, whatever. It's not my business.

So tell me, when did the world have standards?

Never because in some fashion, be it too much liberation or too much oppression it always fails. Idk why you're attacking me when I'm not the OP. Your points would be better against him, not me.

These do.

Kost also says the teen birth rate – the number of actual babies born to teenage moms - was down 35% as well; and the abortion rate among teens dropped almost 60% from its peak in 1988.

"What seems pretty clear is that increasing use of contraception is preventing these kids from getting pregnant in the first place," said Kost.

Society has no standards. People have no shame anymore and when people try to set up standards they get vilified.

and what proof do you have that society has no standards?

decency laws are still on the books and sodomy is very illegal still.

The way I see it is society has laws but not standards. Some of the most celebrated people in history are the ones who broke the laws. In the modern era I've noticed that people who try to call people out on their behavior get shot down. Did that happen forever? Idk because I wasn't there but I've seen it happen my whole life. Someone calls someone out on bs and then they are the a$$holes. :manny:
