Why is it considered “childish “ to want to stay in your neighborhood for the rest of your life

I’ve been in my same area all my life outside of college. It’s always made the most sense family and career wise.

I've never once heard or seen anybody clown someone for living in their childhood neighborhood if anything most people would actually respect that as people usually tend to leave their old neighborhood once they've gotten some change in their pocket.
