Why is it hard for people to accept that Dems are a center right party?

Every time you tell people there’s no left party in the USA or that by world standards that democrats are clearly a right wing party,
nikkas start getting offended.

It doesn’t mean they are the equivalent to republicans it means they their political DNA is 99% the same, their foreign policies are the same, and their lack of acting for the middle class is the same. Even if their messaging is different.

I think everyone knows this but the difference in the two parties are not the parties themselves but between their supporters. Far right republican voters are far right and they know it.

democratic voters are a mix of leftist, center left and centrist voters who dont get the things they want and believe that their party is a center left party when it’s clearly not.

reps and dems are not opps, they are teammates.

People conflate leftist with the American political definition of liberal.

Hillary Clinton=liberal

Thomas Friedman-liberal

Chris Hedges=leftist

The Right has been tearing away at the Left since the 50s. Everything having to do with Leftism = socialism. Which is laughable outside of the US. Reagan publicly championed more left politics than our top modern Demos.

Ppl dont know the difference Leftist, Liberal, Moderate, Socialist or Communist by design.
