Why is it hard for the modern human to accept being average?

Most of y’all have average lives, have average jobs, average significant others, average problems, but won’t admit it to yourselves and others. Why is that?

I think one of the problems that the internet caused is exposing things that people would never see. When you see someone spend your monthly salary on a watch. That shyt will make you feel some type of way. Especially if you not really a hustler go getter type nikka

But people obviously ain’t content. Look at the world today. That’s why all these companies marketing all of their products as aspirational. For example if you cop a BMW nikkas see it as buying a lifestyle rather than a car. Same with iPhones, Jordans, etc. it’s all about insecurities.
