Who told you Pakistanis can't travel through India safely? Your information is wrong, they can't even get inside in the first place. But if the diplomatic relations were to improve to where they allowed travel to each other again, there would be absolutely zero problems at all in terms of staying safe or getting attacked by the locals. It just wouldn't happen. The citizens of both countries generally get along quite well with each other, outside of any political discussion between them. You can't be Pakistani, walk into India and declare yourself to be a proud supporter of Kashmiri succession, for example. People will murder you for that. But as long as you don't talk about politics you will be well liked by the locals.

Proximity+immediate threat. A Pakistani is more likely to encounter and be harmed by an Indian than to encounter/ be immediately harmed by a white person. Both these groups are legit going at it as we speak. In that particular example, as a black American I could also walk in that same region as the white dude and come out unscathed, once again because of the proximity and immediate threat concept. I believe it’s societal prioritization at play. As an organism, you must first deal with the viper in front of you before you tackle the rhino in the distance.


It’s no different to how many black people have claimed a sense of freedom when moving to Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, etc despite the locals having many internal ethnic beefs. Or think of how black expatriates can find a second home abroad in EU or South America despite local black people with greater. Proximity/immediate threat to locals being treated like trash( think blacks in Colombia’s Choco province or refugees in France/Spain/Italy).


Of course, I totally agree with you that the white person is a much greater systemic threat to any non-black person on Earth, however; these are often abstract crisises with little direct/immediate threat. white people are rarely going to be the ones that rob or beat you in your home turf. It will be your countrymen beside you. This is the same for all beefs be it Han Chinese v. Tibetans or Hutu vs Tutsi or crips vs bloods. Even domestically in the states, if you as a black person move to a region without other black people, you will notice that whites in those regions have more issues with each other than with you( think Utah or Idaho or Montana).
