In high school we had to read out loud in English class and this Spanish kid kept pronouncing it COL-LO-NEL.... everybody in the class kept looking at the teacher like why the fukk won't u correct him already..... :gucci:

his page alone had colonel like 20 times in each paragraph.. .. :snoop:

This not really funny when I think about it now but thank god for me being able to read well. I might have been a handful as a kid, but I wasn’t stupid lol. Moms made sure I could read and speak well. I remember people who wasn’t confident in they reading would be looking like this when the teacher called on them

I've heard non native English speakers talk about how hard English is to learn because it's probably the most inconsistent modern languages. There's a lot of pronunciations and spelling that don't seem to make any sense within the rules of the English language.
