I remember way back reading message board rumors of Roc-A-Fella buying copies of The Dynasty album the first week because it was really close between Jay and Outkast's Stankonia on who would be #1 that week. Dynasty got the #1, but in the long run Stankonia sold more. I never understood why some rappers put so much emphasis on first week sales. It's not a movie where you'll eventually get pulled off the theatres, it's music which can be accessed and purchased for years to come
