Why is Jay Z obsessed with cooking these fake platinum in the first week numbers?!

It’s simple…narrative control.

same reason he told you he lost 92 Bricks before rap…same reason he told you he was co-owner of the Nets when it was only a 1/15 % stake…same reason he fake retired and self-proclaimed G.O.A.T at the same time. So on and so forth.

I can't find no articles now, but there were rumors he was buying his own albums when he came back from retirement. He been doing this shyt for a while.

I remember way back reading message board rumors of Roc-A-Fella buying copies of The Dynasty album the first week because it was really close between Jay and Outkast's Stankonia on who would be #1 that week. Dynasty got the #1, but in the long run Stankonia sold more. I never understood why some rappers put so much emphasis on first week sales. It's not a movie where you'll eventually get pulled off the theatres, it's music which can be accessed and purchased for years to come :manny:

Hope he still not sweating Nas

Based off the trajectory of their careers and lives off stage he has no reason to

What's the trajectory of their careers?

Nas just released a borderline classic/grammy winning album and is worth $200M+

Hov hasn't had a quality album/verse/song in 9 years.
