Kanye's a legacy act who had one of the best musical primes in hip hop.

When you have those accomplishments, cancellations aren't as bad.

By contrast, someone like DaBaby or Tory Lanez who were still on the come up when they got cancelled while having a hit or miss prime had far more severe falloffs because they have far less classics for people to revisit and enjoy.

That's all it is. Eminem is still streaming well despite his decline and some of his controversies for similar reasons. Both of their primes were nothing to f*ck with at all.

Hell, Michael Jackson's streams went UP after Leaving Neverland. And now he's the most streamed artist from the 1980's. Make it make sense.

When you're a legacy act or an established act, being cancelled or being hated by the masses has less of an effect than being cancelled while you're relatively new.
