As for the thread topic, its a result and symptom of the media's part in the #agenda. For the past few years, the new narrative has been to push Golden State to the moon as the new greatest thing ever. The fact they came out of nowhere and surprised everyone plays a large part in their identity and their ability to attract supporters as some new and unique option to pledge your fandom to. Its not unlike Lavar Ball, Donald Trump, or whoever the current swag rapper may be. Details arent as important, people are just eager to jump on that new wave and that's been Golden State for a lot of sports fans and media. Then they allow that to influence how they view everything, often resulting in awkward exchanges like this one
