Fear goes farther than respect and tangibility trumps morality.
Ain't that the truth. It says a lot about
the nature of the society they're in, yes? No measure of health to be well adjusted to that sickness they present as the way it is...
Cause short term gains is what most people crave
True. That and the danger part is very attractive all round and in these modern times that urge only accelerates as
people are lining up to be crash test dummies for their five minutes of quick flip.
Because as much as they'd like to frame it, in real life the nice/good guys rarely win
It's a dog eat dog world, and unfortunately this world rewards the ruthless dogs
Karma don't exist, if it did white people wouldn't be ruling this planet. The accrued karmic points from slavery alone (not to mention the other crimes of humanity) would be enough to wipe out their entire race
Much like the movies put the fiction in peoples heads that the good guy always wins in that respect. The point on karma is also something I've been pondering recently for similar reasons because, in line with the threads thinking,
the collectives that have done the most damage often have the best standing.
In that respect this is a top down thing.
But here's the thing, if you have ever truly met a generally good person, they seem to have found inner peace. If you really look at the demons running amok, the majority of them a living in chaos. I think I'd rather take my chances trying to be a good person
100. Fully agree with this but its not the intent of the topic. Another view is that
the Flanders type are often full of repression and trying to live up to expectations and ideals that were set for them. The other kind make their own rules and get theirs the fast way, ski mask way.
"We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. - 1 John 5:19"
"The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God". 2 Corinthians 4:4
Always found that interesting. Like a clause tucked away in
the terms and conditions if you think about what was written.
We are made to be a complete person not a good person. It’s actually bad to seek to be good. It’s actually more right to be complete. If you really want more answers to this I suggest you study and read Carl Jung’s work
This is very true, one should be balanced but the point of the thread was those people who try and be the shepherd and not sliding into the role of the tyranny of evil men:
Life seems to be real rough for them. Just a common thread I noticed as they always wind up getting the short end of the stick. Its like the old adage that
the hungry starve whilst the obese are comped food on fully paid trips. You can apply its across the board, really. Its fairly constant in that respect. Why is this?
