Why is Lil Baby’s arena tour flopping? Is it too soon for him?

I fukk with lil baby thats my nikka

But he not a pop star like drake em or jay to fill out arenas

shyt I'd even doubt wayne or kanye can pull it off

Plus theres still a pandemic: only people not really givin a fukk about it are the magas, so thats that
Black people all around are doing parties and concerts jn major cities besides NY... So it's not just maga.
These goofy nikkas just aren't pop stars yet and can't get a crowd

Exactly what I mean.....She is the hottest artist in the game right now. Nobody is coming close to her. Not even Drake. This girl is completely wrecking the game with less than 15 songs out. shyt has never been done before. It's a different world that y'all don't see.

These white folks don't care about no Lil Baby, Durk, They don't know who Jayda, India, Ari. They don't follow no shaderoom gossip blogs nor give a fukk
If the average black American doesn't know you then you aren't the hottest in any game.

We been denying this for a century but it's been true since the 30s

plus can lil baby even perform at the level that is required to be performing at arenas? :stopitslime:
This right here is another issue.

These artist are NOT artist.... Nobody actually believe they have talent, plus they can't perform.
Unless you call singy songy simply rhymes of the same beats and ignorant non diverse content ....talent.

They can't perform and aren't artist and lack true creativity.

I say this as a fan.... But I'm not in denial about the fact that most artist I currently bump are wack

He's not a mainstream arena tour artist. That's just what it is. Him and Durk are top tier hood artists. Very tippy top level hood rap stars. Neither one has leaked into the pockets of mainstream america yet. Lil Baby is trying to go mainstream in a stealthy way. Because he doesn't wanna trick himself out of what made him if it fails.

These artists are cornering themselves.

:patrice: It may even be a deliberate conspiracy by white labels to insure "street rappers" never challenge pop acts again.

You're only going get so big making the type music they do! They're not even trying to use the blueprint that was common in the 90s where you might be a street rapper, but you make sure you have 1 or 2 sings with broad crossover appeal. A radio safe jawn.

These jits are making entire albums with no fukks given of straight gutter, profane, music. They'll only capture a sliver of the potential fans.

Like the rest of you are saying, it's only so far melodies and flows can take you. Artist nowdays need to be more innovative and actually try some concepts that paint a bigger picture.

Lil Baby had something going on with his black empowerment song and his whole background fighting a white supremacist when he was in jail. He could've taken a bit of what Kendrick does and still kept the drip raps and flash.

He is simply not a good performer. Nobody gonna pay top dollar for that. They stand around and mumble into autotuned mics for an hour. And thats if your lucky. Now and days they just play the song with the vocals on it during their performance and the rapper will rap 1/4 of their lyrics while the track plays. One thing I respect about Jay is that he makes it a point to never rap over his vocals in live shows.

Folks were clowning Coi leray for her rolling loud performance but the only difference between her and lil baby's performance is that folks knew lil babys songs.

The problem really isn’t that that’s what’s being made, it’s that it’s not being made well, or is simply mediocre. Maybe people will come to terms with the fact that some of the artists they champion aren’t all that, and maybe they’ll realize that sooner than 10+ years like they did with Lil Wayne.

You the main dude who has spent a year crowning this dude, claiming he's the biggest rapper next to Drake. Take your L.

Lil Baby is big and yes, part of this has to do with young black fans spending their money differently than white fans+older black fans. But this is an L.
There’s only 5 artists in urban music who can do this. And that’s a stretch.
