Bought my daughter a truck about 2 momths ago, a gold 2012 Enclave. It had 140,000 miles on it but I got the extended warranty so they would cover it if the engine or trans went out.
Over the phone, they constantly told me that the engine and trans is fully covered unless it goes bad because of user error (not getting the oil changed, not filling up fluids, ect). So I was cool grabbing her that truck because it's nice as hell. Damn near flawless on the inside and outside, the oil change history was good, ect.
So, the engine locked up randomly a few days ago. It showed no signs of any problems prior to that because I would ride it to the store just to make sure it was running good. I maxed it out on the freeway and all that. Still ran perfectly so this was unexpected.
So I file a claim a few days ago, they had to send an investigator to check the truck out at the shop I sent it to. They found no user error so I was approved immediately. Good shyt right?
Hell naw. Some kind of limited liability clause is in the contract and they will not cover the repair, they only offered to pay me THE fukkIN TRADE IN VALUE towards the repair. Trade in value dawg.
When I was googling shyt before I bought it, I seen that high cost repairs would eventually be paid out in BLUE BOOK VALUE, anything you Google will tell you that warranty companies cover blue book value, no mention of trade in value.
Now, the trade in value in every fukkin website for that truck is from 2,100$ to 2,500$. But if course, they use a random ass site that only offers 1,125$ for the trade in value. Keep in mind that the blue book value for that truck is 4,900$. I paid 5,000$ for it so that makes sense.
Trade in value is considered for running vehicles in which you give a dealership towards a new vehicle. How the fukk is a running truck that is literally flawless worth only 1100$ if traded in towards a new vehicle? shyt makes no damn sense.
I would be cool with the normal trade in value around 2,500$ because the repair is 4,000$. But 1100$ bro?
fukk Ludacris for that bullshyt. fukking over your people. Youse a bytch bro. fukk on
