That's a reason to own a MacBook! You can FaceTime and iMessage (text in general as well) from your Mac. Let alone all the other features of sync between the devices and platforms.

I got a HP X360 Chrombook that I gave my son because I'm good. I got tired of the constant touch screen issues and so forth. The sound was a beast since they use B&O, but beyond that they are the WOAT computer company.

Chromebooks are basically big ass Android tablets that you can either attach/detach from keyboards or are built to look like a performance laptop.

It is NOT a performance laptop. It runs a web-based OS (ChromeOS). It is meant for light duties (word docs, email, youtube).

This is why they're so cheap.

I've got this same model. No complaints on my end. Even installed Linux and was coding on it last summer. Nowadays I use my Windows Desktop more since it's hooked up to my TV and a full-sized keyboard but I definitely got my money's worth with my current HP Chromebook

Technically this is my second HP Chromebook since the first one had touchscreen issues and it was under warranty. I asked for a replacement and they said they were OOS and I bytched and they gave me the x360 instead. I got the 8GB RAM version FYI so it has some horsepower admittedly

Yeah I got the 8gb one as well. The all white jawn. I just used my wife's old laptop to put linux on it since it's designed for such a OS (Lenovo Thinkpad)

Drop some real $$$ and get a MacBook. I’m still using mine from 2009 and I’ve only had to change the hard drive once and the battery twice.

My girl got the 2010 joint running that old ass software still. She keeps asking me what to do with it. Is a decade old+ MacBook still worth putting ram and ssd in it?
