Iunno but it boggles my mind how anyone can disregard what he did with hitboy these last few years. All three King's Diseases and most of the Magic albums were absolutely fire and for him to be putting out so much heat this late in his career is unprecedented and should only elevate him more.

Nastradamus is easily better than all those albums. Well 3/6 that I heard. So that’s not a good thing imo

He’s been one of the primary victims of the ā€œKendrick Lamar is the greatest human to have ever livedā€ campaign being pushed by the machine…as Nas’ traditional spot as ā€œbest mainstream lyricistā€ has been wrestled away and he doesn’t have the commercial and impact bonafides as some of the others on the list…Nas has also had a contentious relationship with the hip hop media/critic class post-Illmatic, as opposed to the ā€œeverything he puts out is perfect and brilliant, can we invent some more awards that don’t exist to give him because the current ones aren’t sufficeā€ thing Kenny has going
Honestly feel what you're saying applies more to J Cole than Nas.

Cole's whole aura as Kendrick's peer has died down completely after bowing out of the beef and dropping Grippy shortly after.

He can still spit but Kendrick and Drake are now seen as his "big brothers" as opposed to his peers(ironic since he's older than both). And now you got dudes debating Cole and Tyler which wasn't even a debate a decade ago.

Nas is pretty much cemented and has been deemed one of the top rappers and lyricists since Illmatic came out. And he's still deemed "your favorite rapper's favorite rapper" by many to this day and automatically put in most top 5 lists.

Don’t disagree with any of this…just it’s in two different conversations…they’ve started to force Kendrick into what used to be Nas’ designated spot in the GOAT lists…Cole has long been seen as the junior partner in the contemporary ā€œBig 3ā€, had started momentum to move up, but let Kenny chump him outta his shot
