I'm seeing a high demand for B2B SaaS sales in all industries. What is funny is they will take someone with 10 years B2B sales experience in non-SaaS over a person with 10 years no sales experience in actual SaaS dev.

So if you have B2B Sales experience you can make big bank. Get into SaaS

I don't know about how people look at it as a profession - usually people think of salesmen as slicksters trying to rip others off - but being a good salesman is maybe the best ability you can have in LIFE. We're ALL selling ourselves all of the time; being a good salesman will literally improve your life 100fold.

sheeeeeeit. looked down upon by who? not in my company. some sales folks are making close to 1 million in commission alone per year. the ability to sell is probably one of the most critical skills you could learn in life apart from networking.

Everyone is a sales man, the only difference is what is being sold.

Because it isn't a consistent job, you are mostly paid by commission.

It's not a reliable income. Your pay will fluctuate from month to month, thats why some people are skeptical of it.

I mean if you're a good salesman, and killing sales. Thats great, but most people who are salesman don't last in the field for long from my experience.

It depends on the sales jobs. Enterprise software sales reps usually have a strong salary as well as commission and can consistently earn 150-300k if they are good. I work with some sales reps who are just ok and some of them still clear 100k easy. The same obviously cant be said for other sales jobs. But there are plenty of sales jobs where you can have reliable income.

All black people should have sales skills and experience.

There are more than enough resources needed to get decent online.

The traditional image of a salesman may not be looked upon favorably by some, but everything in life is a sale.

Sales is great. To take it a step further I would recommend more Black people to get into copywriting (not copyrighting) man. It's sales through the written word. And no, you don't have to be a "great" writer to write copy well. It really changed my life and I love it.

Hey bro how do you get into this? Im a blogger whos written over 7,000 unique articles. i love writing but regular articles pay jack shyt. Could you PM me how to break in and earn more? I can send or do writing samples on the spot

Put me on game! My lil brother was literally talking my ear off last month about how he was getting into copywriting. But that's lil bro; I support him but didn't necessarily take his word/enthusiasm for gospel. He is GREAT at sales, tho. But this new switch up just threw me a little. Two questions.

1.) How does one break into copywriting? Like, how do I go about getting involved or getting my name out there. I can send you more info about my experience if you to get that deep into it. My intrigue is definitely piqued, tho.

2.) Do you have experience in sales? What's that like, and how did you get into that career?

Feel free to DM me if you'd prefer to communicate there in lieu of doing it broadly here.
