Why is Sean Marks still Nets GM?

I'm still confused as to why they did that. Durant wasn't even playing yet and why would him and Kyrie join a team and want another coach? Whatever the case they should've kept him, now he doesn't want to be a head coach again.
Kenny was a guy to build young players up but not take a team to the next level

Marks did his thing getting them out of salary cap and the signing of Kyrie and KD was a great move even if it didn't work out. No GM in the league would pass up on that chance. But it does seem like it might be time for a change if they continue to tread water as a franchise.

Sean Marks has done a solid job finding decent talent at the back end of the first round and finding gems in the 2nd round. Developing guys into NBA rotation players that were on the verge of being out of the league. So while things ended poorly in BK for KD and Kyrie, he’s trusted to lead another rebuild.

Man stop. Marks did a decent job when the Nets had almost no draft capital but he’s fumbled every single thing since then. He failed to re-sign Harden and then traded him for an injured Ben Simmons without doing his due diligence. Kyrie was his own worst enemy so I don’t blame him on that front. He hired Steve Nash and then Vaughn. He then failed to maximize the value of Bridges by trading him when multiple first rounders were on the table.

He gave a huge deal to Cam Johnson, didn’t re-sign Bruce Brown and always had glaring roster holes. He’s still there because he is doing what Tsai wants most likely.

Bolded is an even bigger problem.
