the internet
he was a DJ...
...he came in when the mixtape game dried up.

He was smart and pivoted into something else...
...probably used some of his connections to get the initial interviews...
...and he worked his ass off.

A lot of other dudes could have done the same thing...
...but unfortunately we dont really promote entrepreneurship in our community.

Probably no coincidence that the owner of the biggest site to come out of hip hop (WSHH) has immigrant parents.

Rappers are hype beasts, attention whores and c00ns. They like nothing more than to hear themselves speak and Vlad provides them a platform to do just that. Hip hop idols, rappers, producers, etc are hustlers and entrepreneurs; they just want to push their music and business. Vlad is their microphone. Even Mediafakeout is owned by an African guy.

one thing ive noticed with Vlad .... you hardly ever see anyone thast really top tier being interviewed by him....

true. because it's too dangerous for them. Vlad's interviews are too raw. Imagine someone famous fukks around and keeps it real. Who knows what kinda backlash they'd get. So they go to the Breakfast Club and Hot97 were everything is super safe and pretend-deep
