And the ones who talk the most shyt are either people who don't live here, never been here or don't be outside when they are here.

Yeah but I say it’s weird because offline is so different. And a lot of the jokes don’t make any sense. I try to ignore as much as possible (because it’s played and lame to be honest. I could see if it was creative but even world star jokes are funnier than the ones I see on here) but it’s weird when you’re city is talked about so much.

It’s like, mad other cities wear timberlands but New Yorkers get timberland jokes. Mad other cities wear durags but I see New York jokes. Mad other cities brag about their advantages but New Yorkers get it the most. It’s just weird and it isn’t creative at all. I also think it’s because of the high concentration of black people.

We have a higher concentration of black people from all over. That's the issue. Tribalism is at play.

But NYC dudes put themselves in the spotlight, doggy. If you're constantly in the public eye of course people will have opinions. Due to the United States' influence and powerful media, black americans are on TV everywhere in the world. Blacks in most countries have seen the translated version of "The Cosby Show" and "Black Panther"
As a result they are the most talked about among others. Some of it will be good, praising you. Some of it will be critical and clowning you. THe limelight is . double edged sword. I dont see why you new New Yorkers are so sensitive when the ones that came before you made it a point to get in everyone's face and tell them they're fromNY and that NY was the greatest blah blah blah..
