Morrowind is a classic and considered the best ES of them all by many (I like Skyrim the best, but that's just me).
Combat in Morrowind was pretty awful, but the story, environment, and immersion was so amazing for the time I was able to overlook it. IMO Morrowind is the best game Bethesda has made and they can't seem to top it.
I can't really deal with their games now because the poor combat systems just feels lazy. I did think Skyrim was much better than Fallout 4 tho.

Lame post. The combat is ass in Bethesda games, that's just the way it is.

It was always trash, the abilities, magic, and open world adventure is what made you forgive it as a player.
Skyrim just looks like a god by comparison, lets also keep in mind that first person anything, is always usually clunky. Breakdown pulled off some martial arts pretty well back in the day, but unless its shooting, you're gonna run into some problems.

The more you hit using the type of weapon, the more experience you gain for that particular weapon class.
There are also trainers in the game that can help you level up by paying money which is ideal if you aren't doing one of those carefully crafted builds where you maximise each stat.
Also it helps if you jump all the time. That's what I did, jump everywhere I went which turned me into a God since I could literally leap up mountains or jump onto (and off) high shyt when I was on my cat burglar steez.
Feel bad for folks that never got the insane fun I got from Morrowind.
Over 3000 hours in and I ain't never delivered that package after coming out the office at the main port they dropped you off.

Elder scrolls/fallout is the cod of rpgs
Combat was notoriously bad in Morrowind. They threw that shyt in the bushes with the quickness for Oblivion.
