I do believe the US, like any nation has the right to exercise its laws but having detention centers for non-criminal offenses is a gross violation of the constitution. A lot of these kids should get due process, it is US but more importantly, international law that they get a shot at due process. If these kids can prove in court they should stay, they should be allowed to stay and enter the foster system (not good either) or find adoptive guardians. We shouldn't turn away children that are truly refugees, we are too rich of a nation to do this. We spend close to $300 million on cruise missile against Libya and suddenly we are too broke to allow children and women due process?

Obama is wrong for massive deportation, he should use the 3 billion to make give these kids due process under US and international law. Kids and advocates that can prove they belong, they should be allowed to stay. We help write these laws, we should respect them.

this is gibberish, detaining somebody that violates immigration laws is not unconstitutional and there is no evidence of anybody not getting due process

there is plenty of evidence of people abusing the system and not appearing in court for their due process, most people are not refugees, they are economic migrants, its a lie to call them refugees

Uhhhhh you do realize that undocumented immigration isn't a criminal offense. Usually you don't detain people unless it is a criminal offense, detaining people on a civil offense is pretty rare. Actually detention centers and the whole point of detention is a very new concept.

Actually according to international law, if they can prove they are escaping terror or war torn nation, they can apply for refugee status. Being threat by criminal organizations can be considered being threat under terrorism, especially when MS-13 is on the US terror watch list.

ask all americans' ancestors but for those who were brought here as slaves and the native americans themselves

why would they say that immigration laws are wrong, you do realize that every country on the planet has immigration laws, right?

nowhere in the constitution does it mention civil offense or that you shouldn't be detained for a civil offense, that is something you are making up

the power to detain people comes the constitutional power to protect the borders of the us, if you are suspected of violating the borders of the united states you are liable to be detained and to be removed, you are delusional to think otherwise

nobody is stopping anybody from applying to be a refugee or to request asylum, but the migrants are not refugees and crime is not a standard for being a refugee or to request asylum

To answer the OP's question. Who else are they going to use to forcibly confiscate your wealth and bring you into camps? They need these illegal kids to turn them into tomorrow's soldiers knocking on your door. But y'all think this is silly talk ofcourse.

nah bruh you don't get it. if the native americans had laws against immigration and the means to enforce those laws, none of us would be here

yeah, the biggest mistake the native americans made was letting white people settle here

whats your point weedhead?

why would americans turn around and make the same mistake native americans made?

and anybody that wants to come to the us can go to a us embassy and apply for a visa, nobody is stopping anybody that obeys the laws from coming to the us, what is so special about anybody that they dont have to wait in line for a visa?
