Why is the NYC Press crapping on the Knicks?

They didnt even want to be here dwill got traded as punishment for feuding with Sloan and he acted like a child on the bench as they were Losing yet he gets a pass for that .Jj until he got to the nets was known for being overpaid and underperforming , now he's treated Like a superstar .
Melo asks for Lin to play and the media makes up a rift between them as if melo isn't a hof.melo gets criticized for getting traded here , stat has a down year he's treated as finished and they barely mention the dpoy. Definitely no bias

It's not that DWill is or isn't liked. It's that nobody cared enough about the Nets around here to wanna examine his demeanor and behavior. As for Joe, he just got here. The press tends to give guys like him a clean slate unless he has a rep that precedes him (which he doesn't).

I wouldn't even call what JJ did in Atlanta underperforming. Him being woefully overpaid doesn't mean he sucked. He's a perennial all-star.

The problem with Melo is exhibit A of what I'm talking about. He wants to come here. Everyone gets happy. The press loves him. Fans serenade him. Then he gets banged up. The laziness on D that he has is exposed for all to see. He has a game isn't attractive to New Yorkers, and they'd let all that slide if he won, which he hasn't done yet in the playoffs. STAT, the same thing. Chandler I think gets major props from the press. I think people actually feel bad for him in some ways because he does all the heavy lifting on D for 2 guys that don't play it.

I agree fans have been frustrated with the Knicks the last decade or so. I'm one of them. But I still love my squad. Any true Knicks fan still rides or dies with this franchise. Fans are critical of the team when they deserve it but we're still optimistic of a good season and feel good about our roster.

I don't have a problem with the media being critical of the Knicks, but in the same breath can they also write some stories that are positive and hopeful? I mean they are the home team. How are you gonna show more love to a team that just moved to the city than the squad that's been here for decades?

Dolan reaps what he sows. As far as the Knicks, they may have talented players, but I don't think the press feels they're all that likable. Lin was the Knick the press fukked with the most (for the most part; this cooled once he got hurt), and now he's gone. Sheed's gonna be a great sound byte, but other than Camby, Kurt Thomas and maybe Novak and Shump, the press isn't too fond of that team.

Even before melo got here and as soon as he was traded they were criticizing him.melo gets no credit for alway being in the playoffs . Now that dwill has a team he's getting a pass

They praised the nets to high heaven for resigning dwill and jj. The Knicks were criticized for signing amare and trading for melo . They criticize amare contract every chance no mention of jj's and his age and length.

You know the dantoni firing shows the bias they hardly Even mentioned the fact that mike went and asked to trade melo it was Made out to be a magic Johnson getting a coach fired situation .

Jeremy Lin seemed to have the magic touch last season except when it came to making Carmelo Anthony and Amar’e Stoudemire a winning combination.

And Tyson Chandler feels that the additions of point guards Raymond Felton and Jason Kidd will do wonders for the Knicks’ two superstars.

“Absolutely, I absolutely think it will work,” the Knicks center said on Friday at practice in Greenburgh. “The toughest thing last year was that our best players were at the three, four and five spots with nobody to get them the ball in the right places.

“Melo went to playing the point and making a lot of the decisions. Although he’s capable, I feel like it was putting too much on him. This year with the point guards we’ve got he can play his natural position and be a finisher. And Amar’e can do the same.”

What don't people get? It's the Knicks. Since when have the media liked us or even been fair in their coverage of us? Once the Nets don't do shyt for a couple seasons they'll realize how good they had it playing out in NJ where nobody gave a fukk about them and realize the media, especially nationally, will never just let you rock if you play in NY and don't win championships.
