He's done interviews talking about how proud he is of his black heritage and his father breaking barriers. He has talked about both sides of his family. He is also very proud of and is closer to his Samoan side. He identifies as both.

So why does the average mixed baby look different from a full black baby?

gotta understand that black people are the original people, and in being so we are not limited to just nappy hair and dark black skin. we come in all shapes & "colors". Which is important to note because when some western scientist try to claim "oh, europeans been on the planet for over 50,000 years because this skull looks european...", nah son, that's just a black person with european features. Blacks can adapt to any situation so our physical features are not going to be the same. That's what being original is, not only being the first on the planet but also not being the same as everyone else or doing what everybody else is doing.
Now the question onto why if you keep grafting the babies they eventually become very light skin instead of dark black. This is because of genetics. In black people we have 2 genes. A black one and a brown one. These are called Eumelanin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eumelanin#Eumelanin
We all need to know and understand that white people are mutations. not making fun of, it just is what it is. As stated in the other post, they are genetically weaker and it's not like they can make a black baby w/o mixing so they are most def not an evolved form as some may like to say. Now that we agree that white people are mutations and are not natural to the planet earth, one must think what happens when those black dominant genes get weak. What happens is that the lighter gene takes over. Keep doing this over and over(having babies with people of lighter color) and eventually you'll have light skin babies.
This is why we should strive to live a healthy life because if we don't, we get weaker and weaker and next thing you know, we may have an albino kid.

Again you are using the white supremacy thought process to prove a point. We are all aware of how this came about but in today's society there is no reason for the distinction between mixed raced individuals and black people not to be made. There are no plantations and there is no master/slave relationship.
I've spoken about this before. In today's society, white people have no problem with mixed raced individuals identifying as such.
Asian people would have no problem as well as they make the distinction between full Asian and mixed race.
The only group of people who would be up in arms about mixed raced individuals being identified as such would be black people because of the advances these people have made.

You only have 2 types of people in the world. black and white. people with black hair, dark eyes and people with blue eyes blonde hair. the whole mixture argument was brought about by whites taking what small division we had in place already(tribes)and took it to a whole new level including color and religion.
The minority(white race) can only live comfortably by dividing and separating the majority(black people). From the hutu's and tutsi's, to the bloods and crips, to the chinese and japanese, to the Dravidians and brahmins etc etc
the rock is clearly black. he has a significant amount of melanin. just because some place that's been colonized and have not caught up yet and doesn't recognize people like the rock as black doesn't mean that he's not. this goes for any black nation or people who deny they themselves are black. So called mexicans/latinos are black people but they may not identify themselves as black why?

i know what i am. i am a black man. i do not call myself mixed, nor shall i ever. i may have a white mother, but reality says i am a black man living in a white world that treats me as such. i'm not looking for your admiration. i only ask that you respect how i choose to regard my racial persona in this world.

There's nothing to be confused about. It was a socio/political thing before black people had rights and mixed people have rights. In today's society there is absolutely know pressure or outside force making mixed race people choose one race.
None. No one is going to drag you outside your house and lynch you for this. People do it because they are weak and don't stand up for themselves. Socially it can be hard because black people will give you the superlike Tiger Woods got and white people have made it so full-blooded white is only allowed. Still doesn't mean you give in. When someone asks you about race you explain to them. Really that simple.
