Drake has a diverse fanbase....but if you could hit 75 million before 30 by diversifying your fanbase, would you do it?
This just started being a talking point a while ago.
Drake owns the nightlife and with that he gets the utmost love from the streets, black women and most who are just enjoying their life and want to have a soundtrack to feeling good.
Drake has replaced what Jay z was to mainstream HipHop from 97-2003
There are infinitely more white Wu and Nas fans than Drake fans
What y'all are saying isn't the whole story
Black people determine what's hot in rap and white people follow with their dollars
You can't ignore that if you are not popping within black circles white people will never support
Of course there are few exceptions but this is generally the rule
I said there are exceptions dumbassTyler the Creator. Nuff said.
Drake's music is the sound of the street. I hear his shyt bumping everywhere. I have no idea why you felt the need to shoehorn Nas and Wu into this discussion though.
The backlash Drake is experiencing right now is actually closer to the IWW/I Am/Nastradamus era than anything, where he's killing the charts and the streets, but a very loud minority is still trying to get him out of here.
