The Coli
@cook @Emperor_ReinScarf @Brooklynzson
On a lot of forums/message boards, there is security in place that allows a lurker to only view a couple of threads before receiving a "you must be a registered user to view this thread". Some also have an IP lock in place (cookie) that remembers you and makes sure you get that damn message the next time you try to open a few threads. The one website that comes to mind is that orgish one (autopsy) shyt that ain't letting you in without registering through their system. The coli is like the us/mexican border but with nikkas on the side just watching hordes of trolls, duplicated accounts, random guest, fbi, bosses, cops, exe's and even baby momma's flood into their site. All these people getting all of our information by not even signing up. Do something about it!!!! Damn. Why we always have to tell you guys what to do with this site? Got donations coming in, a store, new sections but no security in place to protect your users? Atleast make these above mentioned personel have to make an account...and even then, they should be given limited access until they've reached an reputable post count
We do have security to protect users, one that we pay hundreds of dollars a month for. Your idea of "security" is like putting a deadbolt lock on a 4' fence.

IMO it would make them even more curios to join the site, plus if that @BrothaZay thread was 100% right major news outlets might already have accounts to just lurk the site and steal shyt... only way i can see this working out is if you have to have your account active and if you're not active for a few weeks they will disable your ability to view the forum.. and you must wait a few weeks(at most 2) to view this site again and if you keep on becoming inactive they will have to delete your account... and they should make account limits then if they do that

How would this stop ppl from just figuring out hey every couple of weeks I need to make 5 post or something in a random thread, then again just continue lurking?

Coli.
Maaaannnnnnn repped!!
you have to think this stuff out.... i been on another site where they wanted to close down registration and that site killed it self off before they even got to that point of close registration because no one was active, now if you force people to be active while telling them you have to make a account and be active to still view the forum more people would be active :yeshrug:

Make it so that you have to be active with your post ,if not your account becomes locked. Also make it so that you need to verify a picture with the Adkins before you can sign up along with age. These young ones are popping up left and right and add nothing to the discussions we have here. Then there's the racist who sign up just to troll.

Lets not forget the people thieving material from here...

You're talking about site security...i'm talking restrictive security for guests and only guests. Random folks shouldn't have entire access to forums and our archives breh. Where is the hundreds of dollars for that:stopitslime:?
