Why is this tv so cheap?

I am in the market for a new tv. And I have been coming across some that don't make sense to me.
Maybe those with better knowledge can help.

Also if you can point me in the direction of some good models.

honestly just looking for a solid tv. I hear lots of rave over Samsung so i guess i can start there. I play video games, not heavy like some. Whatelse can one ask for out of a tv?

Could be a discontinued model. But then again, most 40" hdtvs I've seen come within that price range, especially if they're not the newest model.

It's cheap bc it's an older model, no wifi, no apps, no sexy thin bezel, only 120 hz.
