damn you really a retard huh? 02/03 Ginobili and Parker were rookie/2nd year players, they had good moments like all players but wasn't shyt yet. Kobe wouldn't make it out the 2nd round with that team, let alone dethrone a 3peat :mjlol: sit down

rookie/2nd year Parker/Ginobili are better than any version of Kwame Brown and Smush Parker.

Kwame Brown and Smush Parker are better than Kevin Willis and Danny Ferry :manny: see what I did there? Pop would've made them legit too, something that the fake GOAT PJax coach aint do :mjlol:

:lawd: people act like Manu and TP were who there are now in 2003.

If Kobe is so this that and the third, and not trying to take ANYTHING away from him and what he's accomplished on the court cause he's one of the greatest to do it but, why this dude going on his NINTH head coach? Wouldn't his greatness lead to more head coaching stability :mjlol:

Imagine TD having to be coached by NINE different heach coaches :dead:

kobe broke a finger on his shooting hand that season and had his fingers taped together, yet he still won MVP and led his team to the finals. stop with the excuses. if he was on the court he was ready to play.

and lets not act like Parker (the reigning finals MVP) wasn't there. Kobe only had one all-star on the team (Gasol) while Duncan had two.
I don't know what you're talking about excuses for. I'm not interested in your your fatherless Kobe/Duncan dikk-measuring contest. Duncan had fallen off a bit from 07 to 08 and the Lakers were a better team that series. I'm just adding much-needed perspective to a poster claiming that Duncan had prime all star Parker and Ginobili in that series while omitting the fact that Ginobili could barely get a sneaker on and was a shell of himself, and was in a walking boot then had surgery right after the series, and also pointing out that the rest of the roster was old and anemic and used to go through terrible shooting spells. The "old" label got tagged to the Spurs because of those late 00's teams that were full of :flabbynsick: unathletic veterans. Duncan and Ginobili weren't even that old then...everyone else was. It wasn't until they smartened up and started putting more speed, youth and scoring around the big 3 that they got back to serious title contention.

Duncan with a weak supporting cast in 03- Championship ring, near quadruple double in clinching game 6 of the finals :obama:
Kobe with a weak supporting cast in 05/06/07- missing playoffs, first round exits :mjlol:

how many rings yall think Duncan could've won with Shaq? 30? 40? 100?

what about being on the same team as Gasol, Bynum, Odom, Ariza/Artest?

U really think Kobe could win a ring with Stephen Jackson as his 2nd option :mjlol: 02-04 Spurs would've killed to have a player like Odom or Butler.
The Spurs don't get past the 03 Kings team with a healthy Chris Webber. Spurs also lucked out in game 3 of the WCF when Dirk went down with a knee injury.

Don't act like Duncan was going up against all odds when all the superstar players out West were going down with injuries.

Doesn't quite work like that. We know Phil would still be in LA if the Buss family gave him control on the level of Pop.

Del Harris couldn't get them over the hump.
Rambis, interim.
Bickerstaff, interim.
Hambken, interim.
Mike Brown, couldn't mesh.
D'Antoni, not a match for the roster.
Tomjonavich, health problems.

Who am I missing? Either way, Kobe usually got his no matter the coach. The results demanded by the FO often didn't match with the coaches outside of PJax. The same would happen with SA if they decided to say bye to pop.

Not only that, LA has always been a volatile job breh. Outside of Riles and PJax, Buss stayed hiring and firing coaches.

lol...this guy consistently says the most retarded shyt of any poster on this board when it comes to the Spurs. It's not even worth addressing. If it were trolling and he wasn't seriously this stupid, it would be laudable.

Anyway, speaking of not getting past the Kings...

:mjlol: at a poster with the screen name @Dwight Howard coming to Kobe's defense of all people

No it's because he's boring, not even boring in the Derek Jeter sense (he's boring too but not his style). Nobody's gonna dikkride a corpse, and that's what Duncan is, an all-time great corpse of a man. That's fine with him, but nobody's gonna go out of their way to treat a corpse like a rock star.

This makes me think of a Weekend at Bernie's poster with Pop, Parker and Manu propping up Tim Duncan's corpse :dead:

How is it retarded shyt?

Did Dirk not go down in game 3 in the WCF?

Did Chris Webber not go down in the playoffs?

Those are all facts, friend.

Those are facts. Claiming they would've beaten the Spurs is what's stupid. The Mavs were clearly not a better team than the Spurs in 03 with a healthy Dirk. The whole basketball world knew the Spurs were winning that year after they beat the Lakers.

I said the KINGS would have beaten them and Mavs would have had a shot too.

You have said the Mavs would've beaten them too before several times. And no, the Kings wouldn't have either. After the Kings got jobbed in 2002, their window closed.
Their window closed because Chris Webber went down with a knee injury that ended his career as an elite player fool. The Kings were on the short list of contenders in 03 and even in 04 without Webber they were a great team.

The Spurs won one more game than the Kings did in 03 and Mavs won the same number of games as the Spurs.

:lolbron: but i thought the kobe/Shaq Lakers were so dominant and great? wouldn't that be the most impressive win then? and if you really trynig to play that card, then Kobe/Shaq are lucky as fukk Duncan was out in 2000 :manny: we beat yall 3-1 that year in the season, and swept the year before. Don't forget Yao being out in 09 and Ginobili being fukked up in 08, along with Duncans plantar fasciitis. :usure: also lucky Kendrick Perkins was out for game 7 in 2010
