It's funny how the criteria changes when it comes to a rapper you like.
People hate Drake because he grew up middle class and got paid handsomely from a TV gig. But nobody says anything about Wayne driving beamers by 16 and having enough money to buy his mom a house as a sophomore in high school. Hard life right there

last time i remember, i DON'T recall hearing wayne talking about starting from the bottom or struggling for shyt. drake came into the rap shyt talking about how he struggled and blah blah blah. i don't know about how those dudes were living before like how some posters are acting like they do BUT i do know that drake stays overexaggerating how hard he had it. he's making it seem like he was living in the projects, was UNKNOWN before he got a record deal and fronting like he wasn't a damn tv star on his records. that's the problem here. he's trying to get credibility for being real BUT he's not acknowledging his past and even goes as far as discrediting it, which basically questions the shyt he says in the present day. he's talking like his ass wasn't on a damn popular kids show that was airing all over the planet before he was big. most people know what degrassi is. it's like the saved by the bell or skinz of canada. i don't know how much he got paid or whatever BUT he damn sure wasn't struggling like that when he was showing his home. you'd think dude was living in a damn shack. who is wheelchair jimmy trying to fool?
i think it's annoying for him to say that he started from the bottom when his ass was a celebrity before he blew up. yeah, like that didn't play a part to you getting to where you're at today. he can say whatever the fukk he wants. his ass was on degrassi so he didn't "start from the bottom". i don't see wayne discrediting his past.
The only way Birdman paid Wayne as a kid was through the backdoor
