South Central Los Angeles So Wut U Wanna Do??
He started his career as the clear leader (no pun intended) of a group of talented mc's. He has the best verse on one of the greatest songs ever "Scenario" He has about 2 hands full of hits. He's gone platinum more than once. He's worked with Dre on a project we know how rare that is. He has given us some of the best videos and visuals ever. He even helped give Hype Williams a name. He has re-invented himself over and over which is essential to longevity and relevency. Chuck D even gave him his name. This dude is a legend in my book hands down

Lack of substance?

Lack of style?

Look a top 10 list, not one lacked substance or style.

He was. People forget how major of an artist busta was. He had transcended rap at one point and was doing 2 mili videos (Janet)

He was a creative and energetic force in the game. Had some of the illest visuals. A legend in the old and new school. One of the most unique talents in rap.

Then the dreads went... :snoop:
Here come the coke raps :snoop:
And the roids :snoop:

Goes from having the illest beats to generic shyt :snoop:

Becomes a studio hog and attention whore :snoop:
Constantly trying to hop on trends :snoop:..

Legacy goes down the washroom... Now he just annoying and overexposed. Legend status almost destroyed by a streak of wack shyt and desperate moves.

I'll give you substance, however he's not a terrible rhymer.

But Style?? He was aggressive boisterous loud energetic, that got old so he just went with his deep voice, then he showed these young boys how to do it wit the fast flow. All while having a hint of reggae

And he's for damn sure not top 10 but neither is Slick Rick for example but he's a legend:yeshrug:

Slick Rick in '85, '86, '87 was a Gawd. Also credited with creating the new flow with Rakim. The competition was fierce with LL, Krs1, BDK, Rakim, and still Slick Rick was not eating anyone's dust. Busta Rhymes is entertaining, but if take a rapper with similar animated styles like Redman or Eminem, he gets left in the dust.
