Great athlete no doubt. Elite for his time. Freakish is a lil different category. Really shouldnt be a long list of freaks. Wade was great, Rose was better...Rose is in the freak category.
Why Isn’t Dwade ever mentioned in the same breath as the other Freak Athletes?

He is one of the "QUICKEST" jumpers ever, thats why he is the GOAT shot blocker, dude can jump late and still get to his peak jump before you. Amare had a quick jump too, Sean Marion, ect.NAH WADE DIDNT HAVE ALL TIME LEAPING ABILITY AT ALL.
HE WAS EXPLOSIVE WITH LONG WING SPAN.
HE WAS NEVER GETTING HIS HEAD NEAR THE RIM.
As a all around athlete, Wade is top 10 all time doe, period.
He is first, and has blocked the most jumpshots in NBA hostory.
I also think he has more on ball blocks than a lot of bigs (help D mostly), Wade got blocks on the ball more than any nikka i ever watched. The jumpshot thing is a stat on some site, its probably official if you watched Wade u would know.

Wade wasn’t raw leaping out the gym like them but he had hops, explosiveness and his speed & first step was MJ tier. Vince wasn’t even close in that regard, and Kobe at his peak wasn’t there either. Also when you take into account Wade’s smaller stature compared to the MJs, Kobes, Vinces

When it comes to speed, body control and leaping ability I gotta admit Rose is on the short list. But Agility? Agility-wise Wade is damn near MJ level. Him and MJ were super smooth on the court and would be slithering past defenders effortlessly. I’ve never seen Rose split a double going full speed the way Wade consistently did

As far as style of play nobody was closer than Wade to MJ
He came into the league on borrowed time with the knee surgeries before going pro. Never really had the leaping ability all time but explosiveness and craftiness is all time tier. Instincts on defense legendary he caught way more blocks than he should have at his height. The fact that hes in discussion for all time blocks for a guard despite missing way more games than MJ all time is quite impressive. Hes underrated really overall but father time tapped his shoulder a little quicker than other all time guys. So it goes
He also came into the league with his left meniscus completely removed.Wade came into the league jumping like young Jordan. Knees were too powerful for modern medicine
Wade in such a rush to make the league and get that NBA money for is family he chose (or was advised) the worse possible option for his surgery back in college.
