:whew: dat rebuttal

U rlly destroyed my argument :whoa:

:heh:

Like i said..and like I have proven..ur opinion on drake is rooted more on the side of image/background than the actual music...

Its cool...just means ur the superficial hip hop fan who's opinion is easily persuaded by image

So it started out as a mixtape, but now it's an official studio album. A classic one at that, no skips.

Again u keep referencing his acting career...which is his background which is a reference to his image...and..
No struggle huh?? Unrelateable huh? :mjpls:
u can rapgenius while playin these tracks if u a lil slow :mjpls:

Now im bou to kick some real...

Back den most regular nikkaz in da hood couldnt relate to the superthugs in the rap game..but we felt and were entertained by it..why??

Because their stories were interesting...

Drake spits about struggles all people go through internally..whether it be with relationships, family, achieving you goals, etc etc.

No he's not from da hood..no he's not from the hood im from..but his stories are very relatable to teh average young nikka why??

Because in his stories he presents struggles and sentiments that all people can relate to and feel which is why he's the biggest rapper out now.

His ability to tell stories that captivates and keeps the audience interested in what he has to say is a great talent..and he presents it in a way that is relatable to most young nikkaz

If u cant respect that ur whole perspective is whack :manny:

Seriously though, as a hip hop fan, how can we appreciate an album with half being him singing? This dude fukking sings brah, SINGS! And you want to compare him to other rappers who have legitimate rap albums. I can understand that some people relate to Drake since he talks about some juvenile and relationship issues but when that nikka wants to sing to me about his heartbreaks (ala Marvin's Room) I have to turn it off. This nikka made a song about how he could save hoes.. :wtf: like really nikka? That's an artist u want to support?

Kendrick has one of the most acclaimed album released in a very long time, and it was also voted by the users of almost every magazine and site as the album of the year.
yeah it's still subjective but the fact is that he had a bigger impact with his album than Cole.

and I really think that this album was praised for legitimate reasons.. objectively, I jsut don't see why YOU cole fans think that born sinner was underrated. There was nothing grezat about that album imo.

The reason Kendrick is in this discussion is his Album, we don't put kendrick in this discussion because of hit singles or sales. can we say the same about the other cats ? we only talk about them as great artists because they are popular lol

J Cole >>>>> Drake but Kendrick shyts on them both album wise, in my opinion. J Cole is so hit or miss on his albums. I liked the interludes on Born Sinner better than a lot of the full songs.
