Swizz production sounds dated & amateurish.
Vol 3 was a travesty though , my uncle literally disposed of that shyt out the window the first couple weeks he had itThey fizzled quickly. First compilation was a borderline classic, volume 2 was a STEEP decline overall, and volume 3 was![]()

The coli hates Swizz breh.Nicca who cares .. I swear I only hear this narrative on the coli ... was Swizz some musically inclined nicca on some Babyface/R.kelly shyt of course not ... but he possessed that raw hood talent that obviously resonated with the streets since they were fukking with it hardbody ... I can guaranteed nobody beside some excessive hip hop purist nicca was spewing that bullshyt when Jigga My nikka , Ruff Ryders Anthem , All For The Love , Banned From TV , Money Cash Hoes etc was poppin
I remember when I left Jamaica and came to the BX when I was four and my first memories of Hip Hop was mostly Ruff Ryders (X , The Lox , Eve , Drag On etc) ... I remember almost everyone on my block either bumping We Are The Streets or Ryde or Die vol 1 & 2 , especially my uncle that nicca used to bump those compilations faithfully taking me to school lol , but after like 01 their momentum vanished for some strange reason , till this day it's weird to me , their run was short but made a potent impact on the streets
Plus they gotfor rap. By the time the mid 00s came, most people moved on to TI and Jeezy.
Plus the east coast thug shyt isto the kids.
What wre the kids feeling?
All his beats started sounded the sameNah them shyts still go
Eve DEFINITELY crossed over.I would say lack of stars, all they really had was X
The Lox and Eve were respected in Hip Hop but they didn't have that crossover appeal like X did, and once he started falling off so did the movement
Imagine how this future/migos sound the kids like will sound in 5 yearsThat whole sound didn't really age to well
